Another day in paradise

It is yet another incredible day on Fire Island. For those who chose to stay out last week or this week the weather has been amazing. This has always been my favorite time of year. Unfortunately it is also the time to be planning for the end of the season. Call to schedule the closing of your home as soon as you know that you will no longer need water or electric. If you like to prolong the season just remember that November 1st is the limit on carefree exposre to the elements. After that you must watch the weather closly as a dip in temps below freezing can occur at any time putting the plumbing at risk for freeze damage. Thinking of air conditioning for next summer? How about an automatic irrigation system for your garden or deck plantings? Now is the time to set it up in order to avoid the spring craziness.
